Shortly after entering the Prague Castle, a symbol of the Czech Republic, and a UNESCO World Heritage, we will stroll through the first two courtyards and reach the main entrance of the St. Vitus Cathedral.
This cathedral, containing the tombs of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors, is a prominent example of Gothic architecture and is the largest and most important church in the country.
We will be able to enter its first part to see and talk about its history and architecture. We will also point at the two most significant windows. First is the Slavic tribe allegory, painted by the famous Czech Art Nouveau painter Alfons Mucha, and the second, made by František Kysela which depicts scenes from the Biblical story of creation.
The guide will take you around the Cathedral to show you the most impressive view of the entire church, decorated by a glass mosaic, gilded window, and tell you more about the history and importance of this jewel among churches in the Czech Republic.
The Cathedral is located right opposite the old Royal Palace, at the third courtyard of the Prague Castle Complex, the biggest closed castle complex in the entire World, thus a record in the Guinness Book.
